Traveling Safety Manager (Field-Based)

Position Type: Contract (1099) or W-2
Pay Range: $40–$60/hour
Schedule: 50–80 hours per week
Duration: 3–9 month assignments
Travel: Nationwide (project-based)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Safety Manager to support large-scale projects in data centers, oil & gas, and commercial construction. This is a hands-on, field-driven role responsible for implementing and enforcing site safety programs while working directly with crews and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety operations on active job sites
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Facilitate safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and client-specific requirements
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; complete reports
• Coordinate with project management and subcontractors on safety expectations
• Stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction, oil & gas, or industrial safety experience
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards
• Experience on large-scale or high-risk projects preferred
• OSHA 30 required (OSHA 500/510 preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to work extended hours and travel consistently
