Traveling Safety Director (Program Oversight – Multi-Site)

Position Type: Contract (1099) or W-2
Pay Range: $40–$60/hour
Schedule: 50–70 hours per week
Duration: 3–9 month assignments
Travel: Nationwide (multi-site oversight)

Overview

We are looking for a Traveling Safety Director to provide strategic oversight and leadership across multiple large-scale projects including data centers, oil & gas, and construction operations. This role focuses on program development, client interface, and leadership of field safety teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to Safety Managers and Coordinators across multiple sites
• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Serve as the primary safety liaison with clients and executive leadership
• Analyze trends, metrics, and incident data to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure consistency and compliance across all assigned projects
• Support high-level incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Mentor and develop field safety personnel

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience
• Proven experience managing safety programs across multiple large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• OSHA 500/510 or equivalent certifications preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel frequently and manage multiple priorities
